Why We Created This
Where this came from
VerySoul works in mediumship. That is the first thing to say, because it is the thing most likely to make a referring professional discount everything else on this site, and it should be weighed openly rather than discovered later.
Working in the field means seeing the range of it. Practitioners who are careful with vulnerable people, who mark the limits of what they know, and who hand decisions back to the person in front of them. And practitioners who do none of that, sometimes with the best intentions, sometimes without.
The people most exposed to the difference are the ones least equipped to evaluate it. Someone who has just lost a partner or a child is not in a position to assess whether a stranger is guessing. The professionals they turn to first, therapists, counselors, clergy, are often asked about mediumship and have no framework for answering.
What this resource is for
CLEAR is an attempt at that framework. It describes what careful practice looks like in terms anyone can observe, without requiring a position on whether mediumship works.
That constraint is deliberate. A framework that only makes sense to believers is useless to the professionals who need it most. Every dimension here would apply equally if mediumship were entirely explicable by ordinary means, because every dimension is about conduct.
What we get out of it
A resource like this raises the standard practitioners are held to. VerySoul operates in that field, so a higher standard affects us too, and the framework is written so that it can be turned on us as readily as on anyone else.
We are not neutral. We are transparent, which is a different and lesser thing, and we would rather you hold the difference in mind than assume we have no stake.
What this resource is not
There is no directory here, no register, and no rating of individual practitioners. There is no route from this site to booking anyone, including us. No practitioner pays to appear, because no practitioner appears.
The scorecard produces no score. It describes a pattern in one observed session, and it says so every time it does.
The standard
The more vulnerable the person, the higher the standard should be.
Hold us to it
If this resource reads as marketing, or the framework looks bent toward anyone’s interests, that is a failure worth telling us about. Tell us what you would change.
